Members of Parliament
Brian Leishman
Alloa & Grangemouth
I’m Brian Leishman and I am the Westminster candidate for the Alloa & Grangemouth constituency. It’s an honour to represent our movement and if ever a constituency needs a Labour MP, then it’s here.
For decades Alloa & Grangemouth has seen industry leave the area, and at the heart of the constituency is the Grangemouth refinery. The refinery closing will negatively impact Grangemouth, the wider constituency and all of Scotland and I am committed to make sure we Keep Grangemouth Working and that the transition is just and looks after workers and their communities.
Please feel free to get in touch by email and tell me what matters to you.
Euan Stainbank
Falkirk
I’m Councillor Euan Stainbank for Falkirk South ward since May 2022 and Deputy Leader of the Falkirk Labour group.
Since that time, I have worked closely with the young people of Falkirk to expand their voice and their influence in decisions we make about their future in Falkirk as the Elected Members Children and Young Persons Champion. I passed a Labour motion to secure International Workers Day as a public holiday for Falkirk council workers and I am fighting hard to secure a future for the two school swimming pools in my ward under threat of closure.
I have worked tirelessly for any issues my ward constituents have brought to me and hold three weekly surgeries where you can come and discuss any issues you have in the local area.
I am now also the Westminster candidate for Falkirk constituency.
Kirsteen Sullivan
Bathgate & Linlithgow
There has never been a greater need for a Labour government. The cost of living crisis, compounded by years of Tory austerity and the devastating impacts of the pandemic, have resulted in an increasing number of people being pushed into poverty with many more struggling to get by.
I live in Bathgate where my husband and I have raised our family, with our three children attending local schools. Like most people, we depend on our NHS services including St John’s Hospital and our local medical centre. The environment, transport and local services are all things that matter to me and my family in our everyday lives.
Since 2017, I’ve served as a Labour councillor for the Whitburn and Blackburn ward and as Depute Leader of West Lothian Council. I am passionate about fairness and social justice and have put these values front and centre of my work in local communities. Council budgets have seen real-term cuts from the SNP government over a number of years and front line services are struggling. It just doesn’t have to be this way.
The people of Bathgate and Linlithgow, and the electorate across the UK, can choose a different future, with a UK Labour government and elected representatives that will put their needs first, ending the years of chaos and division we’ve seen under both the Tories and the SNP. Together, we can build a fairer country and a brighter future
